New Johnstone Burgh boss Murdo MacKinnon got his team's promotion bid back on track with two victories in his first week at the club.
The Keanie Park side made the short journey to Neilston last Wednesday evening and, despite going behind, goals from Graham Dorrans, Kieran Brophy and Stuart Fyfe turned things around.
Neilston pulled one back to set up a tense finale but the points were sealed through Dale Simeon a few minutes from full-time.
There was another local derby for Burgh on Saturday when Renfrew visited Johnstone.
A red card for Dom Lavelle put the home side in control, with Kyle Lafferty netting a brace and Jason Naismith also on the scoresheet to seal a comfortable 3-0 win.
MacKinnon’s side are now four points away from the promotion spots, with as many as four games in hand over some of their rivals.
The hectic schedule continues this week, with three games in five days.
Burgh travel to Shotts Bon Accord tonight [Tuesday] before making the trip to Thorniewood United on Thursday evening and then returning to Keanie Park on Saturday, where Kilbirnie Ladeside will be the visitors.
