Johnstone Burgh have completed the signing of Conner McGlinchey from reigning Premier Division champions Beith Juniors.
The right-sided defender, who can also play in midfield, has spent the last eight seasons at Bellsdale Park, where he made over 250 appearances and scored more than 50 goals.
McGlinchey, 30, played 36 times in Beith’s title-winning campaign last season and chipped in with 22 goal contributions from defence.
His hopes of making his Burgh debut on Saturday were dashed as the scheduled First Division clash with Thorniewood United was called off due to a waterlogged pitch.
The fixtures are now piling up for the Keanie Park team, who have only played 15 times this season and also have a two-legged Scottish Junior Cup semi-final on the horizon.
Those games in hand mean Burgh remain in good shape for promotion, however, and they face fellow title challengers Drumchapel United this weekend.
Kick-off at the Donald Dewar Centre on Saturday is at 2pm.
