Renfrew couldn’t make it three wins in a row as they were narrowly beaten by Petershill at New Western Park on Saturday.
Jimmy Quigley’s side were coming into the game in good form in front of goal having scored nine goals in their last two outings against Cambuslang Rangers and Whitletts Victoria but couldn’t find a way past Peasy on Saturday.
The only goal of the game came after a quarter of an hour when PJ McGiff raced through one-on-one and unselfishly squared the ball for Darren Miller to tap into an empty net.
Renfrew goalkeeper Ben Fulton kept his side in the contest through the first-half with the hosts improving after the break and knocking on the door for an equaliser but failing to create that one clear opportunity in front of goal that could have earned them a point.
Frew are back at NWP this weekend when they host title challengers Rutherglen Glencairn.
Kick-off on Saturday is at 1.30pm.
