Renfrew manager Jimmy Quigley was delighted to see his strikers find their killer touch in a 3-0 victory over Whitletts Victoria.
Dominic Lavelle put the home team ahead in the first half of Friday night's match, with Clydebank loanee Ben McLernan adding a second when he fired the ball through a crowded penalty area and into the net.
After the break, McLernan made it a brace as he scored Renfrew’s third with a fine effort from just inside his own half after spotting the Whitletts goalkeeper off his line.
The result secured Renfrew's first win in a month and, after going into the game as the First Division's lowest scorers, Quigley was thrilled with the way his team performed at both ends of the pitch.
He told Gazette Sport: "I was delighted with the result and the performance.
"It was the proverbial six-pointer, as you want to beat the teams round about you and we managed to do that.
"We have been playing really well recently, we just need to cut out the mistakes at the back and be more clinical in front of goal and we did both of those on Friday.
"You get punished for your mistakes in this division and we haven't been taking our chances, which is a bad recipe, but everything clicked. There was a real hunger and desire from the boys.

"I'm delighted for the boys up top to get on the scoresheet, especially young Ben, who scored two really good goals.
"The second was from just inside his own half and he had a couple of shouts to tell him the goalie was off his line, so he’s had a look up and curled it around him rather than over the top of him.
"It was a great finish."
Renfrew are in Strathclyde Demolition Cup action this weekend as they try to repeat last season's success by going on to lift the trophy.
They travel to Third Division side West Park United, as they did in the 2022/23 campaign, but Quigley is expecting a new-look opponent this time around.
He said: "We played them last year in the Demolition Cup but they lost half their team, who went with their manager to St Roch's, so we'll prepare as best as we can.
"It's a competition we want to do well in again and we’ll see how far we can get after last year's success."
Kick-off at Huntershill on Saturday is at 2pm.
