Renfrew were on the wrong end of a five-goal thriller against Neilston on Saturday.
The afternoon got off to the perfect start for Jimmy Quigley’s side at the Brig O’Lea as a shot by Dominic Lavelle was deflected into the Neilston net.
However, their lead was short-lived as former Renfrew man Darren Jones netted a volley at the front post to equalise.
And the hosts took a 2-1 advantage into the half-time break, thanks to David Donnelly.
Renfrew came roaring back in the early stages of the second period, with Dom Innes putting them on level terms.
However, they were left stunned by a late winner, with Jones adding to his tally to hand Neilston their second victory of the season.
There is no fixture for Renfrew this weekend, with the visit of Drumchapel United on Saturday, September 23, next on the agenda.
Kick-off in that match is at 2pm.
