Renfrew manager Jimmy Quigley reckons the signing of Ben McLernan will boost his side's forward line.
The youngster joined Frew on loan from Clydebank last month and netted his first goal for the club in the victory over Ashfield last weekend.
McLernan scored more than 40 goals in the under-20’s last season and Quigley can see him doing big things in a Renfrew jersey.
He said: “I like to play with three up top but the boys were a wee bit dead on their feet and picking up niggling injuries so adding Ben gives us five options up there and bringing in one more will give me a full complement of attacking front men.
“He scored a lot of goals last year in the under-20’s which isn’t easy and he featured for the Clydebank first-team towards the end of last season so we’ve got high hopes for him and he’ll make the squad better all over.”
Renfrew travel to Neilston on Saturday. Kick-off is at 2.00pm.
