Johnstone Burgh and Glenvale will fly the flag for Renfrewshire at a special tournament in aid of worthy causes this weekend.
The two local clubs are jointly hosting the John Grant Tournament at Keanie Park from Friday to Sunday.
They will be joined by Maryhill and Largs Thistle, with youth teams from the two host clubs also in action.
Grant was a keen supporter of both Burgh and Glenvale, with his sponsorship helping the clubs provide football for many local youngsters.
Burgh manager Jamie McKim said: “I feel it’s important that this tournament remains an annual event, which I am confident will be the case for many years to come.
“John helped so many players, young and old, through their footballing journey and the majority of these players probably won’t have realised how much.
“Within Johnstone Burgh and Glenvale in particular, John offered so much support and I think the tournament is a great way to remember him as a person and recognise his contribution to the game in our local area."
A spokesperson for Glenvale added: “John Grant was initially involved with our club when his son James played for our 1998 age group.
"John attended every match as a supporter and generously provided match and training kit for the team.
“This support continued for many years and, in time, his younger son Ewan joined our 2004 age group, strengthening John's link to the Glenvale family.
“The Grant family have been a huge support to our club and we feel this tournament is a fitting way to remember John.
“We have also named our football academy The John Grant Academy in his honour."
Gate money from this weekend's matches will go to the RAMH (Recovery Across Mental Health) charity, with supporters also being asked to bring items for Renfrewshire Foodbank.
Crystal Clayton, senior manager at the foodbank, said: “During the last financial year, we fed 9,875 people across Renfrewshire. We could not do this without your support.
“If you are attending the tournament, we ask if you could kindly bring one of the following items – cleaning sprays, treats and sweets, tinned fruit and veg.
"This will help us continue to support the people of Renfrewshire who unfortunately experience hardship and financial crisis."
Friday's action begins at 5.45pm, with Burgh and Glenvale youth teams taking centre stage, followed by a match involving Burgh's development team at 7.30pm.
There will be further youth games from 9am on Saturday, before Maryhill face Glenvale at 10.45am, with Burgh taking on Largs Thistle at 2.30pm.
Sunday's programme begins with youth football from 9am, with the senior teams involved in a play-off for third place at 10.45am and the grand final at 2.30pm.
