Renfrew extended their lead at the top of the Second Division to 10 points with a comfortable victory over Muirkirk Juniors on Saturday.
The hosts had to be patient at New Western Park as an impressive display by the visiting goalkeeper kept the scoreline blank in the first half.
Scott Morton (pictured) eventually made the breakthrough shortly after the interval, with Andrew Wright sweeping home a loose ball from a corner to double Renfrew's advantage 10 minutes later.
A third goal was added by substitute David McKenna as Jimmy Quigley’s team made the most of a free weekend for nearest challengers Ashfield.
Next up for Renfrew is a huge fixture with fellow promotion chasers Maybole Juniors at the Ladywell Stadium this weekend.
As things stand, Renfrew hold a 10-point advantage over their third-placed opponents, although the Ayrshire outfit have three games in hand.
Kick-off on Saturday is at 2pm.
