Renfrew co-manager Colin Clark admits he doesn’t see any other option than to scrap the current season.
The campaign was brought to a halt in mid-March due to the Covid-19 outbreak.
And Clark, who has been keeping in touch with his squad, believes player contracts should be considered.
“I can’t see an alternative or a way you can extend the season,” said Clark.
“It’s all about player contracts, which are finishing in June, and I can’t see the league being finished for then.
“It’s unfortunate and I totally sympathise with everybody who is affected, including ourselves.
“I spoke to most of the players last week, just to see how they were and how their families were. We weren’t really speaking about football. It was more of a welfare call.”
