PAISLEY Pirates will be looking to continue their record breaking form this weekend as they travel to face Dundee Comets on Sunday evening.
Ian Turley’s men are on an impressive run of form, winning their last three matches in the Scottish Ice Hockey League including last weekend’s stunning 21-1 win over the plucky Solway Stingers.
Pirates were on top right from the opening whistle against Solway but were shocked when the visitors took a surprise lead in the fourth minute.

Any hopes of an upset were quickly eliminated, however, as with only seven minutes played Pirates were 2-1 in front.
While the third did not arrive until the quarter-of-an-hour mark, the home side took a comfortable 4-1 lead into the break.
The Stingrays goalie was powerless to prevent the Pirates from coasting to a 12-1 lead at the end of the second.
Any thoughts of the Pirates relenting were soon put to bed as the visitors’ goal continued to be attacked at every opportunity.
Daniel Abercrombie and Calum Henderson continued to enjoy their fair share of the spoils, while Ross Andreucci completed his hat-trick at the death to seal the rout.

In a night where new scoring records were the norm, another first was recorded when Solway forward Megan Gourlay became the first female player to pick up a Man of the Match award in the course of a senior game at Braehead Arena.
Face-off on Sunday is at 7pm on as the Paisley side look to leapfrog the east coast outfit in the Scottish Ice Hockey League table.
Pirates currently sit fourth in the SIHL table behind the Kirkcaldy Kestrels, Murrayfield Racers the Comets.
