ST MIRREN have confirmed that Ian McShane has left the club to join Championship side Falkirk on an 18-month deal.
Boss Oran Kearney admitted that January would be a 'frantic' month as he looks to trim a bloated squad and McShane becomes the latest player to leave following Matty Willock's departure in December.
A club statement read: "St Mirren Football Club can confirm that Ian McShane has left the club to join Ladbrokes Championship side Falkirk.

"We would like to thank Ian for all his efforts at the Buddies and wish him the best for the future."
McShane joined the Buddies in the summer of 2017 from Ross County and played a pivotal role in their Championship winning side, making 40 appearances and chipping in with five goals.
The midfielder struggled to nail down a place in both Alan Stubbs' and Oran Kearney's squads, however, making just 10 appearances this season.
Speaking of his latest recruit, Falkirk boss Ray McKinnon said: “He excelled for St Mirren last year as they won the Championship and was impressive in his time with Ross County too. I have watched him closely for a number of years and when I knew of his availability I was keen to move quickly to bring him in.”
