COLIN Clark praised his side’s character after 10-man Renfrew battled to a hard-fought point against Kirkintilloch Rob Roy.
Frew still toil at the foot of the table but Clark’s side have shown signs of improvement in recent weeks.
As well as hailing their character, Clark has also pointed to his side cutting out the individual errors as a key factor in their current four-game unbeaten run.

He said: “I thought the boys battled well, especially after going down to 10 men.
“I think it would have been harsh on us to lose the match because we played well after we were reduced to 10 men. We showed a bit of resilience and character to dig in.
“I wouldn’t say it’s been an upturn in performances as such, it’s more a case of we’ve cut out the silly mistakes that had been costing us. That’s why we’re starting to get some points now.”

He added: “A win in the cup will help us carry that momentum forward and hopefully give us a bit more confidence in the league.”
