Two musical theatre students from Renfrewshire are set to spread Christmas cheer by joining the cast of a pantomime.
Penny McNamara, from Bridge of Weir and Aimee Morgan, from Johnstone, both aged 20, are set to perform in the star-studded cast of Rumpelstiltskin at Platform Theatre in Glasgow's East End.
The second-year HND musical theatre students at Glasgow Kelvin College have been chosen to join the ensemble cast, playing the wild and wonderful spirits of the Northern Lights.
The family-friendly show runs from December 3 until 24.

Penny said: "I’m so excited to be joining the cast of Rumpelstiltskin and am very ready to take on a new challenge."
Aimee added: “I'm excited to perform in the Christmas show – it’s a really exciting opportunity and a chance to see and experience something new."
Rehearsals are in full swing for the 34-show run, which is packed full of songs, jokes, and larger-than-life characters, taking audiences on a magical adventure to find out who Rumpelstiltskin really is.
The students will be sharing the stage with a lead cast including Scarlett Mack, known for her TV credits in Outlander, The Nest, and Dog Squad, Michael Guest, whose credits include The Fall, Damaged, and Ravens Hollow, and Adam Buksh, recognised from Scot Squad, The Stand, and One Mississippi.
Matt Addicott, artistic director of Platform arts centre, said: "Everyone at Platform is delighted to be working with students from the HND musical theatre course from Glasgow Kelvin College.
"This will be the third festive production that second year students have joined us and we are very excited to start rehearsing.
"Joining the cast of Rumpelstiltskin is a fantastic opportunity to collaborate with highly experienced professional performers, directors, designers, choreographers, vocal coaches, technicians and stage managers.
"Whilst for our audiences, it's a real treat to see the stage full of such talented and enthusiastic performers - we wish them every success with the show and the rest of their studies and beyond."
The show has been created for everyone over the age of five and is written by Lewis Hetherington, directed by Rosalind Sydney, and presented by Platform in association with Glasgow Kelvin College.
