Renfrew and Johnstone are set to kick off the festive season with their Christmas light switch-ons.
Renfrew will host a family-friendly day of celebrations in the town centre from 12pm on Saturday, November 23.
The day will feature live stage performances from local acts, a family funfair in Charles Avenue car park, and a Christmas market.
Santa will be stationed at Renfrew Fellowship Church, ready to hear the children's Christmas wishes.
Free family festive music sessions will be held in Renfrew Town Hall throughout the day.
The day will conclude with the Renfrew Burgh Band carol concert at 3.30pm at the Renfrew Town Hall, before the town's Christmas lights are switched on at 5pm by Renfrewshire’s Provost Lorraine Cameron and the winner of Renfrew’s Christmas card competition.
Renfrew YMCA on Canal Lane will be open all day, offering refreshments and access to their facilities.
Johnstone's celebrations will take place on Saturday, November 30, with Houstoun Square transformed into a winter wonderland.
Entertainment will be provided from 1pm by Johnstone Sound and local acts.
Santa will be in town to meet the children, and a Christmas market will be hosted by St Vincent’s Hospice.
The day will also feature a funfair, free festive photo opportunities, and face painting.
At 5pm, Provost Cameron and Johnstone’s Christmas card competition winner will switch on the town's Christmas lights.
Provost Cameron said: "Switching the lights on is always a highlight of my year and I am excited to once again be able to give local children the opportunity to take part in this special moment.
"I love seeing our communities embrace the Christmas spirit and with so much to do in both Renfrew and Johnstone this year it’s a fantastic day out for all the family."
