A local inquiry is set to take place in Paisley regarding proposed changes to Scottish Parliament boundaries.
The inquiry, part of the second review of Scottish Parliament boundaries, will be held on November 28 at the Courtyard Glasgow Airport Hotel.
The review, which began in 2022, is required under the Scotland Act 1998 and aims to recommend constituencies and regions of similar electorate size, while considering local authority areas, geographical circumstances, and the maintenance of local ties.
The Paisley inquiry will focus on proposed boundaries for the Scottish Parliament regions of Glasgow and West Scotland, and the constituencies of Erskine, Renfrew and Cardonald, and Renfrewshire West.
The provisional proposal for regions amended the existing Glasgow region boundary to include an Erskine, Renfrew and Cardonald constituency.
Changes were also proposed to the Erskine, Renfrew and Cardonald, and Renfrewshire West constituencies in response to previous consultations and local inquiries.
The inquiry will be chaired by assistant commissioner Murphy, with two sessions scheduled from 2pm to 4pm and 6pm to 8pm.
The local inquiries provide an opportunity for local people, councils, and elected representatives to express their views.
Further information about the review and this local inquiry is available at www.boundaries.scot/reviews/second-review-scottish-parliament-boundaries.
Responses to earlier consultations can be viewed on the consultation site at https://consult.boundaries.scot/reviews/sp_constituencies_revised_proposals/.
Professor Ailsa Henderson, chair of Boundaries Scotland, said: "Local inquiries are held by us in areas where a local authority has objected to our proposals for constituencies or regions, where there has been a strong local response or where we feel we require additional information.
"They are an important part of the review process.
"If we subsequently change our proposals in any area we will consult again early in 2025."
Anyone wishing to speak at the inquiry is invited to register by emailing boundaries.scot@scottishboundaries.gov.uk or telephoning 0131 244 2001.
