A popular airline has announced a new route from Glasgow Airport.
Ryanair will launch new direct flight from the city's airport to Malta from summer next year.
Launching on April 1, 2025, the twice-weekly service will operate on Tuesdays and Saturdays, offering passengers increased 'flexibility and convenience' for travel to one of the Mediterranean’s most popular destinations.
The route marks the major airline's seventh route from the city's airport. It currently travels to Alicante, Brussels, Dublin, Krakow, Malaga, and Wroclaw from Glasgow.

Announcing the new route, Glasgow Airport said they are 'excited' to offer travellers from Scotland's largest city a 'convenient and direct option' to Malta.
Chris Tibbett, Aero Director for AGS Airports, said: “We’re delighted that Ryanair has chosen to expand its operations here by introducing a new direct route to Malta.
“This addition underscores the airline’s confidence in Glasgow as a gateway for Scottish travellers.
"It also means more choice for those looking for a sunny escape, whether for a long weekend, a full week’s holiday, or an extended stay.”
The new service is anticipated to carry an additional 20,000 passengers between Glasgow and Malta next summer.
