A man was hospitalised after a 'serious' incident in the toilets of a bar.
The 56-year-old became involved in an altercation with another man in the toilets of Habbie's Bar on New Street in Kilbarchan.
This happened at around 12.30am on Sunday, October 6.
During the incident, the man fell on the floor which resulted in a serious injury to his leg.
He was taken by ambulance to the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley where he was treated and discharged some days later.
The man then reported the incident to the police a week after it happened.
Any witnesses or anyone with information relating to what happened is urged to get in touch with officers.
Detective Constable Barry Gourlay, Renfrewshire CID, Police Scotland, said: “The injured man reported the incident when he left the hospital a week after it happened.
"Since then, we have been making enquiries at the bar, in the area and checking CCTV, however, are still keen to hear from anyone who may have seen the incident or who has any information that will assist our investigation.
“We appreciate that what happened was in a small toilet area, so there was limited access, but we would still like to hear from anyone with information.”
