St Vincent’s Hospice was nominated in three categories at the Chartered Institute of Fundraising Scotland Awards 2024.
The annual awards celebrate and recognise the achievements of professional fundraisers working in charities, voluntary organisations, and social enterprises.
The hospice was shortlisted in the 'Best Individual Giving Campaign' category for sharing the story of Lynn and Derek.
Derek, who used the hospice towards the end of his life, and his wife Lynn, spoke fondly of the memories they created while using the services.
Lynn said: "Coming into the hospice was like having the weight of the world lifted from our shoulders."
This campaign, aimed at raising funds and dispelling misconceptions about hospices, was commended for its sensitive and powerful storytelling.
In addition, the hospice was nominated in the 'Best Partner Relationship' category for its collaboration with McDonald's in the Community.
The local restaurant group's charitable work raised significant funds for the hospice, demonstrating their commitment to supporting the community.
Both nominations reflect the dedication and hard work of the families, volunteers, and supporters who are a part of the hospice.
Meanwhile, Emma Donald, community, corporate, and events manager, won the Industry Rising Star award.
This was a testament to her contribution to the hospice.
Debbie Mooney, director of income generation, said: "These nominations and award are a testament to how hard-working and passionate Emma and the wider team are.
"This award reflects the care and compassion they bring to work every single day and we could not be prouder.
"Thank you also to our wonderful supporters and volunteers who always go the extra mile for St Vincent’s.
"Without them, recognition like this would not be possible."
Emma Donald, community, corporate, and events manager, said: "I have been working in fundraising for just over a year now and I have loved every minute.
"It is such a privilege to work alongside our supporters and volunteers at the hospice.
"This award is definitely for them."
