Detectives have launched a probe after thieves broke into a property and stole jewellery, perfume and cash.

The incident happened between 5pm on Wednesday, October 2 and 11.30am on Saturday, October 5 on Clairinsh Gardens in Renfrew.

A badge of sentimental value was also taken during the break in.

Detective Constable John Sharkey said: “Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances and we are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed anything to contact us.

“We also ask anyone who may have private CCTV or dashcam footage of the area at the time to come forward.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 quoting incident 1551 of October 5.
