Overnight closures to the A898 at Erskine Bridge have been cancelled.
Amey, on behalf of Transport Scotland, was planning to carry out essential cable inspections on the busy road on Friday, October 4 and Saturday, October 5.
However, it has been announced that the closures have been cancelled due to 'operational issues'.
According to the firm, the inspections are required every four years.
Last week, the area was closed on Friday, September 28 from 8pm to 6am on Saturday for these works.
