Residents have been warned that their water supply may be cut off today as essential maintenance is carried out on the network.

Letters have been distributed by Scottish Water to all affected customers in the PA8 postcode in Erskine to provide advanced notification of the planned interruption.

The latest update provided by the Water provider said: “The estimated completion time for the repair is 8pm.

“We expect to complete the works in a timeframe which means we do not plan to provide bottled water.

“The water supply will gradually return to normal for customers once the work has been completed.”
