The search for Renfrewshire’s local heroes has begun.
The Provost Community Awards are looking for nominations for the people who make the area a better place to live, work, and visit.
The awards aim to recognise outstanding groups, volunteers, and employees.
The five categories open for nomination are Community Volunteer, Community Group, Sport Award, Employee of the Year, and Arts and Culture Award.
Lorraine Cameron said: "As the Provost, I meet hundreds of inspiring people and groups every year and it never ceases to amaze me that there is so much fantastic work going on throughout Renfrewshire.
"These awards are an opportunity to pay tribute to the unsung heroes of the area who go the extra mile without looking for a reward and give them the recognition that they deserve.
"The nomination form is online this year so it’s never been easier to complete your nominations.
"I can’t wait to read them so don’t miss out on the chance to nominate and start getting them in now."
The deadline for entries to all categories is Friday, January 3, 2025.
The winners will be chosen by the Provost, award sponsors, and other local elected members.
They will be invited, along with their nominator, to the awards ceremony in March 2025.
