A man is due in court in connection with an 'attempted murder' in Paisley.
999 crews raced to George Street in the town at around 11.55pm on Friday, September 13.
A 40-year-old man was found unresponsive and rushed to hospital where he remains in a serious condition.
Officers investigating the incident said they were treating it as attempted murder.
A 31-year-old man was arrested at the time and cops have now revealed that he has been charged in connection.
He is expected to appear at Paisley Sheriff Court on Monday, September 16.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "With regard to our previous post in relation to the attempted murder of a 40-year-old man in George Street, Paisley on Friday, September 13: the 31-year-old man who had been arrested at the time has now been charged. He is due to appear at Paisley Sheriff Court on Monday."

We previously reported that forensic teams were spotted at the scene on Saturday afternoon.
Officers in white suits carried out investigations near flats on George Street, which was covered in crime scene tape.
They were taking photos while uniformed cops stood guard.
