A woman has been rushed to hospital following an incident in a park.
The 37-year-old was in Darroch Park in Erskine on the afternoon of Sunday, August 25.
During this time, there was a verbal altercation and she was allegedly attacked.
She was taken to hospital to be treated for serious injuries and later discharged.
Cops have arrested a 40-year-old man in connection with the alleged incident and he is expected to appear at Paisley Sheriff Court on Thursday, August 29.
Detective Constable Colin Leggat said: “Enquiries into this incident remain ongoing and we are appealing for any members of the public who were in the park at the time and may have witnessed what happened to get in touch.
“Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 2438 of Sunday, August 25, 2024.
"Alternatively, you can speak to Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
