Residents of Erskine are being invited to share their thoughts on a consultation which sets out potential improvements to the town centre and riverfront.

Council officers have been working to develop proposals to make public spaces and greenspaces more appealing.

The efforts form part of a review of the Centre Strategy for Erskine, with short, medium, and long-term actions identified for residents to consider.

The suggested improvements revolve around the four key themes of role, identity, sense of place, and greenspace and biodiversity.

A public consultation event was due to take place on Thursday, August 22 at Erskine Sports Centre from 2pm to 7pm.

An online survey will be available for those unable to attend the event in person.

Iain Nicolson, Renfrewshire council leader, said: "It’s important that local people in Erskine will have the opportunity to put forward their views about the future direction of the town centre and how we can work together to make it an even better place to live, work and visit.

"The public consultation is a chance for people to look over the proposals and shape the next steps, so I would encourage everyone to come along to the in-person event and to spread the word around the local area.

"If you can’t make it, you can still take part by filling out the online survey by 5pm on Friday, September 6 2024."
