RESIDENTS at a care home in Bishopton were treated to a performance by military bands.
The Pipes and Drums of 1st Battalion Scots Guard and Drums and Pipes 1st Battalion Irish Guards put on a show for the residents at the Erskine Veterans Charity's villages in Bishopton and Edinburgh recently.
This was a special treat for the Erskine residents as the bands are currently performing at the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo.
The musicians took time out of their busy schedules to entertain the veterans.
The 30-minute performances included favourite tunes like "The Skye Boat" song, Scottish Soldier, and the veterans' beloved "Scotland The Brave."
Veterans Alex Bremner, 88, and George Berry, 93, even posed for photos with the performers.
Jessie Dewar, 101, one of the residents, said: "The show was fantastic, the music was so moving and there really isn’t anything like the pipes and drums."
Ian Cumming, chief executive of Erskine, said: "We are delighted to once again welcome performers from the Royal Edinburgh Tattoo.
"Our residents look forward to their visit every year.
"Not all our residents can make it along to the main show in Edinburgh and this visit ensures that no one who wishes to see the Tattoo is left out.
"As always, the performance was spectacular and left everyone with a smile on their face."
