GLASGOW Airport has begun a public consultation, marking a step in its commitment to minimising the noise impact on local communities.
The Noise Action Plan 2024-2028 aims to address two main sources of aviation noise, which are air and ground noise.
It also proposes extending the Noise Insulation Scheme to help an additional 600 properties available for funding under the scheme.
The airport's current plan, which was established in 2018, is set to be updated with new measures based on years of progress and consultations with stakeholders.
The online consultation will run until October 6.
A spokesperson for Glasgow Airport said: "We would encourage anyone who is interested in the proposals to engage with our online consultation programme and attend one of the online webinars which will offer further details of the proposals, and an opportunity to ask questions and provide feedback on the Noise Action Plan.
"The webinars will take place on September 11, 4-5pm and October 1, 5-6pm.
"All of the information about our Noise Action Plan is available on our website, where feedback can be submitted until October 6."
"We look forward to engaging with the local community, and gaining valuable feedback that will help shape our proposals moving forward."
