A person has been rushed to hospital after an emergency incident on the M8 near Glasgow Airport.
We reported how Traffic Scotland said the westbound carriageway of the motorway at Junction 30 (Craigton Interchange) near Bishopton was left restricted after a collision this morning.
Now, police have revealed they were alerted to the crash shortly after 6am on Monday, July 29.

The force was called to a one-car smash.
Following that, the driver was taken to hospital to be checked over.
Traffic Scotland has since said that the disruption caused by the incident on the road has been cleared.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "Around 6.15am on Monday, July 29, we were called to a road crash involving one car on the M8 westbound near Junction 30.
"The driver was being taken to hospital to be checked over."
