Police have confirmed that enquiries are still ongoing two weeks after an investigation was launched into a robbery in Kilbarchan.
On June 28, we reported that cops were carrying out enquiries on Tandlehill Road, near the shops.
The Day-Today store had been targeted by thieves and several CID officers were spotted at the scene shortly before 9am.
Those behind the robbery broke in and stole the cash machine, however, it is believed that nothing was inside it.
Further up on Tandlehill Road, at the junction with Milliken Park Road, two police officers in a vehicle were seen guarding a green wheelie bin.
The bin had a large item inside, believed to be the cash machine, and this was covered in tinfoil and police tape.
In response to a request for an update on the investigation, a Police Scotland spokesperson told the Gazette today (July 10) that “enquiries are ongoing”.
