Hundreds attended the fourth annual Corseford Fun Day - a free community event for children of all ages.

The event, organised by the Corseford Tenants and Residents Association (TARA), took place at Fordbank Primary School on Saturday, June 29.

It provided a range of free activities for young people of all ages to make sure no local child misses out on summer fun.

Listeners of Johnstone Sound Radio, local sports club Thorn Athletic, non-profit Create Paisley, public services provider Amey, and Johnstone Fire and Rescue all provided additional activities.

It proved to be quite popular once again with 355 visitors in attendance.

The variety of free activities includes inflatable equipment, free ice cream, arts and crafts, glitter tattoos, music, and goodie bags.

Kari Butler said: "What a great day. Thanks to Corseford TARA for working hard and bringing it all together and all the volunteers. Well organised and I must say the kids were all amazing."

Janet McAvoy added: "Well done everyone, my grandsons loved it. Hopefully see you next year."

Karen McCormack said: "Was a great day. My niece enjoyed her free ice cream as you can see from the photo of her in the pram, although her mum not so much as it is all down her cardigan."

Hosts Corseford TARA view the event as particularly important due to the lack of space for children's play and recreation in the local area.

The association works hard each year to raise the funds necessary for the fun day and expressed gratitude to this year's sponsor, the National Lottery Community Fund Scotland.
