A HUNT for thieves who stole an ATM machine from a Kilbarchan shop is continuing.
We previously reported that the Day-Today store, on Tandlehill Road, was targeted in the early hours of Friday morning.
Cops were called to a report of a break-in at 4.15am.
Further up the street, a green wheelie bin - which had a large item inside and was covered in tinfoil - had police tape around it.
It has now been revealed that the item in the bin was an ATM machine.
Police have not revealed how much money was stolen.

Andy Doig, independent councillor for Johnstone North, Kilbarchan, Howwood and Lochwinnoch, shared his concern following the incident.
He said: "This is extremely distressing and extremely worrying. It was obviously pre-meditated going by the time of the incident.
"I'm happy no one was injured or threatened. That would have been a real concern.
"Kilbarchan is a very quiet village. It doesn't get a lot of crime or anti-social behaviour. It's really concerning something like this has happened.
"I would urge anyone who knows anything to cooperate with the police to help catch those responsible."

“Enquiries are ongoing.”
