FANS of Agatha Christie can find out more about the writer at Paisley & District u3a’s next meeting.

Barbara Graham, a tutor from Strathclyde University's Centre for Lifelong Learning, will share intriguing facts about the Queen of Crime.

The free talk will begin at 2pm on July 4, at the Salvation Army Hall on Mill Street.

Attendees can enjoy refreshments from 1.30pm.

Ms Graham said: "Agatha Christie's literary career spanned six decades. Best known for her detective novels, she wrote in other genres.

"In her lifetime she had three distinct identities. Intrigued to find out more? All will be revealed in my talk on July 4."

Kathy O’Donnell, chair of u3a, said: “Many of us enjoy solving a crime mystery and correctly guessing whodunit.

“Yet sometimes truth is stranger than fiction. We are keen to learn if those twists and turns in Agatha Christie’s plots at times mirrored her own life.”
