A Renfrewshire design agency is celebrating a 200 per cent year-on-year growth, for the eighth year.

Yellow Slate Design attributes its success to the financial support and business advice provided by Business Gateway, a specialist support and funding organisation.

The one-stop-shop agency offering end-to-end branding services is basking in its continuous success.

The company's comprehensive design solutions, including logo design, marketing campaigns, social media, websites and printing, cater to various sectors including hospitality, fitness and beauty.

The firm launched in 2016 under the leadership of founder Xander Campbell, who sought the services of Business Gateway to bring his vision to life.

The start-up package from Business Gateway offered Xander one-to-one advice from a business adviser, guidance on his business plan, company regulations, and marketing support, ensuring a strong start for the emerging agency.

In subsequent years, Xander further harnessed business support from Business Gateway to tackle expansions, including a location move in 2021 to accommodate the growing demand for services.

The firm was also guided towards securing funding for personnel growth and investment through a council discretionary grant programme.

Last year, Xander participated in the Renfrewshire Management Accelerator Programme.

This initiative provided workshops and intensive one-to-one sessions to devise a comprehensive action plan for future growth.

Today, Yellow Slate Design's portfolio boasts a team of four, with a photographer, studio assistant and a studio manager.

The business also enjoys a doubled studio space, equipped with a design studio, presentation room, production area and photo studio.

Future planning sees the company branching into technology, allowing clients greater control over their marketing assets, thereby reducing costs and effort spent on repeat tasks.
