Lochwinnoch Gala 2024 will take place on Saturday, June 8, promising to delight all comers with a range of lighthearted activities throughout the day.
Festivities will commence with the annual parade, starting off from Auld Simon Steeple at 12.30pm and winding its way through the High Street down to Lochwinnoch Public Park. Piper Greig Miller will be on hand to lead the procession, with the children of Lochwinnoch Primary also taking part.
Once at the park, local school kids Freddie Marshall and Zoe Morrison will be crowned King and Queen of the Gala. All manner of entertainment and activities will follow, including wrestling, a bucking bronco, a dog display, line dancing, a tug of war, a dance performance, and a game of football.
There will also be live music, a therapy tent, and various food and drink stalls to refresh and replenish. Stalls promoting health and beauty treatments and locally crafts will be available to browse. And don’t forget to don your very best costumes, with a fancy dress competition winner to be chosen.
