Cops are searching for answers after a car was deliberately torched in Paisley.

The motor - along with a bin - was set alight on Bute Crescent in the town shortly after 2.30am this morning (Monday, June 3).

Now, officers investigating the incident say the blaze is being treated as deliberate.

The force is looking for anyone with information on the fire to get in touch.

Detective Sergeant David Tomlinson said: “Our enquiries are ongoing and we are appealing to anyone who may have information to contact us.

“We also ask anyone with private CCTV of the area at the time to come forward.

“Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 quoting incident 0304 of June 3, 2024. Alternatively, you can contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
