You can nominate your favourite Paisley town centre business for an upcoming community award ceremony.

The first-ever Love Paisley Star Awards has invited the public to select and praise their beloved businesses.

Voting is already ongoing and the victors will be declared during Scotland Loves Local Week from Monday, August 26 until Sunday, September 1.

There are 12 categories, including 'Buddie Best Business', 'Best Shop Dog', 'Best Brekkie' and 'Perfect Pint'.

Elaine Templeton, Paisley First chair, said: "We have an amazing community of local businesses here in Paisley town centre – with everything from great retail shops, fantastic food and drink venues, first class professional services firms, creative hubs and health, hair and beauty salons.

"Our businesses are at the heart of our local community, working hard to provide that personal service you just don’t get in out of town shopping centres, and employing local people.

“These awards are set to be a great celebration of our local Paisley businesses – everyone wins when we love local so nominate your favourite businesses today.”

Nominations can be made online on Paisley First's website or by submitting an entry form at specially dedicated boxes at Piazza Shopping Centre.

The deadline is on Sunday, August 11.
