An airline has announced a 'year-round' service from Glasgow Airport.

Loganair has revealed it will now provide year-round services to Donegal in Ireland from the city.

It comes as part of the firm's summer schedule between Glasgow and Donegal which has commenced as part of a flying programme that will now deliver 'vital year-round' connectivity between the two destinations.

The company's summer schedule returned on Sunday, May 19.

As part of it, Loganair will offer up to three flights each week to the Irish destination for the majority of the season.

After that, the route will continue throughout winter - with flights taking place on Fridays and Sundays.

Loganair - who is the 'UK's largest regional airline' - is currently the only carrier offering a direct link between the Northwest of Ireland and the United Kingdom.
