College students gave makeovers to guests at a 'Glam your Mam' pamper event to raise funds for a women's charity.
The HND Makeup Artistry and Hairdressing class at West College Scotland's Paisley campus were selling vouchers for pamper sessions to tie in with Mother's Day earlier this year.
Nearly £500 was raised for Women's Aid South Lanarkshire and East Renfrewshire at the events which took place over four dates.
Students were to organise an event as part of their coursework and choose to offer hair and makeup services for mothers, daughters, friends and clients.
After getting their hair and makeup done, attendees were treated to an afternoon tea courtesy of the college's Hospitality students.
They then headed to the college's ‘Moya Studio’ for a photo shoot with three HND Photography students.
Finally, the guests were given a goody bag of products donated by a local store Hair & Beauty World.
Hannah Bulter, a HND Photography student, said: "I enjoyed meeting different people from across the college. It was great to have the opportunity to take some nice shots and gain the experience and confidence of working with people from all the departments involved.”
Lecturer Nicky Magee, who oversaw the event, said: “This was a great example of cross-college collaboration to not only offer a great day out to the participants celebrating the special women in their lives but also raising money for a much-needed local cause in our community.”
