The works are set to begin on Monday, May 27 and last until Saturday, June 29.
The reason for the restriction is to allow for lighting and drainage works.
Vehicles left in the area when the closure begins will be moved.
Alternative routes will still be accessible on both roads with Cartha Crescent open at the opposite end.
Blackford Road will still be able to be accessed from Marnock Terrace.
