NEW weather warnings for snow, rain and wind have been issued for much of central and northern Scotland this week.
The meteorological organisation released three yellow alerts for Friday and Saturday, seeing possible travel disruption and "danger to life" over the coming days.
The rain warning will affect Glasgow and most of the Central Belt from around 2am on Friday until 9am.

The warning for wind, which forms part of Storm Kathleen, will last between the hours of 8am and 10pm on Saturday, April 6.

- There is a chance of flooding to a few homes and businesses
- Spray and flooding on roads probably making journey times longer
- Bus and train services probably affected with journey times taking longer
Yellow weather warning for wind (Saturday, April 6)
- There is a small chance of longer, or even cancelled journeys, as road, rail, air and ferry services are affected
- There is a small chance that some roads and bridges could close or impose restrictions
- There is a slight chance that power cuts may occur, with the potential to affect other services, such as mobile phone coverage
- There is a small chance that injuries and danger to life could occur from large waves and beach material being thrown onto sea fronts, coastal roads and properties
These weather warnings are subject to change and may alter ahead of Friday and Saturday.
