An urgent search has been launched for a missing woman last seen almost a week ago.

Katie Barras was last seen in the Love Street area of Paisley at around 1.10pm on Thursday, March 14.

The 21-year-old is described as being white, around 5ft 10inch tall, of medium build, long brown hair, blue eyes, and fair complexion.

Officers say it is unknown what she was wearing at the time.

Sergeant Callum MacLeod, Paisley Police Station, said:“We believe that Katie may have travelled by bus and train to the Ellon area of Aberdeenshire.

"We have been liaising with colleagues at British Transport Police and local bus companies, however, so far there has been no trace of her.

“If you have seen Katie or know where she is then please get in touch with police via 101. Please quote incident number 2215 of Tuesday, March 19, 2024 when calling.”
