Two cafes in prominent leisure centres will be closing down.
Both the Lagoon Leisure Centre in Paisley and the ON-X Linwood will be losing their cafes after claims it is "not sustainable" to continue them.
Two members of staff have reportedly been notified of their contract conclusion date.
They are being supported with other job opportunities.
OneRen, who operates the centres, stated that the two cafeterias were a "pilot project" but due to inflation and increasing cost, they cannot deliver the service any longer.
Labour Councillor Graeme Clark has described the cafes as an "important part of the community" with "lots of people" using them.
The Paisley Northeast and Ralston representative says he is in dialogue with OneRen about the closure.
A spokesperson for OneRen said: “The leisure cafés were a pilot project delivered by OneRen and due to a number of external challenges, including rising inflation and the increasing costs to deliver the service, it is not sustainable to continue with a catering offer in this format.
"OneRen is currently exploring options to provide a different type of catering offer where customers will still have a welcoming space to meet and gather before and after using our facilities.
"Two team members on fixed contracts were notified of the contract conclusion date within the standard notice period and we are supporting the staff with other job opportunities within OneRen.”
