An update has been provided by cops after a crash on a major road in Renfrewshire earlier this morning.
We previously reported that police had closed Bridge of Weir Road after an accident involving three cars, with one man taken to hospital.
Now, it has been revealed that the 22-year-old man who was rushed to the Royal Alexandra Hospital for treatment will be reported for road traffic offences.
The road which had been closed during the morning rush hour has since been reopened.
A police spokesperson said: "The A761, Bridge of Weir Road has reopened following a crash involving three cars which was reported around 7.10am on Friday, March 8.
"A 22-year-old man was taken to the Royal Alexandra Hospital for treatment. He'll also be reported in connection with road traffic offences."
