An update has been provided after police shut off part of a busy motorway in Renfrewshire this morning.
We previously reported that Traffic Scotland said lanes two and three of the M8 Eastbound carriageway at Junction 27 were blocked due to a vehicle smash shortly after 7am.
999 crews, including police and ambulance, raced to the scene.
Now, the force has revealed the crash involved three motors.
Meanwhile, the Scottish Ambulance Service (SAS) also revealed no one was injured during the accident.
During it, an eyewitness told The Gazette 'traffic' in the area was 'really bad'.
While pictures from the scene showed police had blocked off the lanes.
A spokesperson for the SAS said: “We received a call at 7.24am to attend a road traffic accident on the M8 eastbound at Junction 27.
"An ambulance was dispatched to the scene and no patients required hospital treatment.”
