A driver had their car stolen after reportedly being threatened with a "knife".
Police were informed that a silver Astra was stolen last week after an "incident involving a knife being presented".
Officers launched an investigation.
They have since discovered the car parked in Paisley in the early hours of Monday morning (February 26).
It has been recovered for forensic examination.
Police have not confirmed if anyone has been arrested at this stage.
In a post online they said: "A busy night for road policing during the hours of darkness.
"In addition to our last post, we've dealt with disqualified drivers, stolen cars, careless speeders, and pedestrians on the motorway! Remember our simple advice. #Dontriskit"
