A man has been arrested in connection with an alleged "hit and run" incident.
Officers were contacted after a vehicle crashed into a wall on Thursday, February 15, around 5pm in New Street, Kilbarchan.
The driver of the vehicle had reportedly made off from the scene.
Police launched an investigation which led to a 42-year-old man being arrested after the vehicle was traced.
Officers required him to provide a roadside breath specimen which police say he refused to do and he was arrested.
The man was charged with various road traffic offences and will appear in court at a later date.
