An airline has announced flights to two new destinations from Glasgow Airport.
In response to continued strong demand for its popular Christmas Markets programme, Jet2 is launching services and holidays to Berlin and Vienna for winter 2024/2025.
The scheduled services to the German capital will kick off on November 29 and occur twice weekly, on Monday and Friday, until December 16.
Meanwhile, holidaymakers can visit the Austrian capital with twice weekly flights, Thursday and Sunday, from November 28 to December 22 on an exclusive route from Glasgow Airport.
The expansion now brings Jet2's Christmas Markets programme to include four locations - Berlin, Krakow, Prague and Vienna.
Jet2 CEO Steve Heapy said: "This announcement represents a significant expansion to our winter 24/25 Christmas Markets programme from Glasgow Airport with two new destinations going on sale.
"The expansion comes in direct response to the strong demand we are seeing from customers and independent travel agents in Scotland for our Christmas Markets programme, and it means we are giving holidaymakers exactly what they want - even more opportunity to enjoy the best festive experiences across Europe next winter.
“Berlin and Vienna are truly magical Christmas Market destinations, and we have no doubt they will be enormous hits with holidaymakers in the region.
"Our Winter 24/25 Christmas Markets programme from Glasgow Airport promises to be our best yet, and we look forward to taking holidaymakers to their favourite Christmas Market destinations, as well as showcasing our award-winning flights and city breaks to them.”
