Paisley homes and businesses were left without power earlier this morning.
Those who were affected were in the G524BN, G524PL, G524RU postcodes.
Scottish Power first was alerted to the fault just before 9am this morning, with engineers having to cut power at 10am to investigate the issue.
The engineer supplier confirmed that the problem stemmed from an underground cable fault.
It has now reportedly been fixed and power has been restored.
A spokesperson for SP Energy Networks said: "Power supplies to a handful of business customers in the Colquhoun Avenue area were affected for just over an hour this morning due to an underground cable fault.
"Engineers attended immediately and quickly completed the necessary repair works.
"We apologise for any inconvenience caused."
