Shuttle Buses service will restore the link between Lochwinnoch village and the train service at Lochwinnoch Station.
The operator announced an improvement to Route 4, starting from February 26, where all buses will begin or end at Lochwinnoch Station, and will meet trains to and from Glasgow.
Ross Granger, managing director of Shuttle Buses, said: "Whilst we have been delighted with the local support for our service, we’ve had a lot of community feedback asking for the station link to be restored.
"I’m delighted to be able to deliver this, and we look forward to welcoming even more passengers onto our service."
The first bus towards the station will depart from the village at 7.33am and this will connect to the 7.47am train to Glasgow.
The last bus will leave the station at 6.13pm and meet the 5:48pm train from Glasgow.
The timings of the main bus service between Lochwinnoch and Johnstone will change because of the improvement, but the hourly frequency is expected to remain the same.
Andy Doig, local councillor, said: "I think this is an ideal compromise between economy and community, and can I commend Shuttle Buses for its refreshing ability in listening to community concerns."
Lochwinnoch Community Council has welcomed the re-establishment of the link.
