A brand new Taekwon-do club has launched in Renfrew as the owners look to bring a new approach to the sport.
Phoenix Taekwon-do sets itself apart from others by embracing a holistic approach to martial arts, by "emphasising not only the physical aspects" but also "looking into the rich traditions" within the sport.
The approach creates a comprehensive training environment that is suitable for all ages and skill levels.
Led by Master Scott McMillan and Mr Kev Wyllie, the club's founders boast a remarkable combined experience of nearly 80 years in martial arts training, military operations, and private security.

Classes take place on Mondays at Renfrew Victory Bath on Inchinnan Road and at the Renfrew Town Sea Scouts, Muir Street on Wednesdays.
The club say that they invite the community to join in and experience the "transformative" power of their holistic martial arts approach.
Scott McMillan said: "Our vision for Phoenix Taekwon-do Renfrew is to foster a community that values discipline, tradition, and real-world self-defence skills.
"We believe in a balanced approach that enriches the mind, body, and spirit of our members."
Mr. Kev Wyllie, added: "We aim to provide a safe and supportive environment where individuals can develop not only as skilled martial artists but also as well-rounded individuals equipped for life's challenges."
